A Suggestion on How to Choose a Name For Your Dog!

Choosing the ideal name for your new puppy or dog can be a difficult task. It was for me anyway, it took a while to decide on the name of my first puppy, JAWS. Choosing dog names can be a real challenge, especially if you buy a dog not only for your family and own pleasure, but also for various dog shows.Choose a name that best describes your relationship. Have fun naming your puppy because the right name is a special part of dog ownership, so consider your choices carefully. Here are some things to consider to get you on the right track.1. What does the puppy look like? 2. How large will it be when fully grown? 3. Is it a male or female? 4. What is the first thing that pops into your head when looking at your pup?Choosing a puppy name to represent your personality and your pup's can be tough, but it is also an opportunity to demonstrate to the world your creativity and insight. The name you decide on will say a lot about your special one and believe it or not a lot about you, so choose wisely, little one. You may be using that name for the next 10 to 15 years.Select a dog name that is easy to pronounce, and is not offending to anybody. Dog names are so much fun to discuss and choose. Nothing feels worse than when someone looks at your dog and asks what the name is and after you reply they say she does not look like a "Reginald". The name you choose also accurately sends a message about how you feel about your dog, and whether he or she plays an essential role in your life. It says a lot about your loved one and, believe it or not, a lot about you. Think about the last few dog names you heard.Male dog names speak volumes. Before you settle on a name, give it a great deal of thought and pick and choose carefully as your dog will be stuck (for better or for worse) with the same name for the duration of his life. Male dog names tend to be masculine, short syllables, and have lots of hard consonant sounds. Naming your male dog based upon it's size has a lot to do with the personality of the breed.Female dog names will generally sound soft and delightful...well, at least most of the time.Whatever you decide to name your pet dog, enjoy your time together.
